The Process of Teneo Project

I am currently working on a project for the consulting firm, Teneo Research.

The scope of the project has involved identity design, business card design, and the design and developing of their website.

In this post you will get a snap-shot the process taken to reach Teneo's goals.

1 | Logo Ideation:

After doing some research I begin with some quick sketching. For this project I did not spend much time in the sketching part of the process and instead went to the computer fairly early on to get down some ideas.

After I explored a number of options, I presented three possibilities to Teneo.

2 | Refinement Round 1:

After they had a chance to comment on the different options and chose one direction, I explored all the possibilities for that one direction.

Then, I presented three more directions that were refinements of the first one chosen.

3 | Refinement Round 2:

They chose one and I made some final touches to the type.

4 | Business Cards Ideation:

Like with the logo, I explored many options and narrowed them down to a few to present to Teneo.

They chose one direction and I made the final touches after some refinement.

I then found a printer and saw them off to offset.

5 | Web Site Ideation:

Teneo outlined some things they liked in other sites, and wanted to see in their own. They wanted a horizontal format and the use of large images among other things.

I present 5 different concepts. They gave me feedback on what they liked/didn't like and I moved forward into my refinements.

6 | Web Refinement Round 1:
I presented the design for 6 different pages (Home, Services, Process, About, Contact, News/Press).

At this point there is one concept that is pretty narrowed in on, so these different refined sites are very similar.

The difference between the first and second are mainly the images, and the third has a slight adjustment in layout.

And this is where the project is at as of 10/24

The Blog Ground-Breaking.

Initially I created this blog as an exercise. I have a client I'm currently building a web site for and they wanted a blog page that they could update easily. I decided to use the visuals of my own portfolio site as an exercise to edit Blogger's HTML to follow a particular visual vocabulary.

The future of this blog will include current projects, and interesting findings I have in the design community.

Cheers,
Malia
